Addiction

It's not very often that I find a book that I just can't put down. I think the last time was with "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince". I used to love reading, but haven't really found much time for it since having kids. But I recently heard lots of good things about this book "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer, so I decided to read it. When you're nursing a newborn every couple of hours, it's easy to find some reading time, so I figured I'd just read it a bit at a time while I fed "Munchkin". Well, a mere 5 pages into the book, I knew that plan had gone out the window. I simply could not stop reading. It was incredible. The story was absolutely addicting. I found my heart racing, feeling as though the characters were standing within arms length of me. They were so real, so intense.

24 hours and 498 pages later, I am finished with one of the most fascinating books that I have ever read. Yes, I spent an entire day reading. I stopped long enough to change some diapers, fix some meals, play with the kids, and run a couple of errands. But other than that, I was reading. Do I feel guilty? Nope. It's not like I do this everyday, and let me say again what an incredible book it was!

Now to start on the sequel.....
