Sweet New Nephew

My beautiful sister-in-law "Bree" gave birth yesterday to sweet little baby "G". He will be in the NICU for about a week due to some fluid aspiration when he was born, but I'm sure he will be fine 'cause he's got Stensrud blood in him!
Being at the hospital yesterday, I was amazed by the range of emotions that flowed through me. I was ecstatic with joy for my sister and brother-in-law, and to be getting a new nephew. But at the same time, it was 1 year ago today that I went into labor with "Munchkin" (nearly 8 weeks early), and being there brought back a flood of memories. I've already told her that the hardest part about having a baby in the NICU is that moment when they give you your check-out papers and send you on your way....without your baby! Leaving him there will be the hardest part, but I know that she'll be able to handle it beautifully. "G" will be a strong baby because he has a very strong Mommy!

Until next time... Jami

It would be so hard to leave the hospital without the baby! I think you both are strong women!
