But seriously, the winner of the actual American Idol contest was of course David Cook. I can't say I'm disappointed, even though I love David Archuleta. Both Davids are incredibly talented and seem like such nice guys. I thought it was really sweet to see how excited Cook's brother was for him. I read an article saying that he has brain cancer, and his doctors wouldn't allow him to fly on a commercial airline because the flight would be too long for him, so someone anonymously donated a private jet for him to fly to the finale. You may have noticed that David had "AC" on his guitar for most of the season, and that is a tribute to his brother, Adam. So sweet!

Well in our little contest we did on the Walton family blog I guessed he would win so I still feel like I guessed it right. Even though the night before I thought David A. would ...o well. Too bad we now have to wait another year.
Hi Jami, I was hoping for Archie to win but I am sure they both have a great future. I have to tell you what I did. On the final night I was driving home from Tooele and on 102.7 they announced that they had the results and if you wanted a spoiler to keep listening, well I did and so an hour before the winner was announced I knew who it was. Well I called my friend Tiff at 8:15 and said David Cook won, she was so mad at me for telling her, I just figured she knew. OOPS :-(
