Erica, here's your proof!

My Sister-in-law Erica called me yesterday and gave me the motivation I needed to get our tree up. She also told me to just hand the ornaments to the kids and let them do the work. So that's exactly what I did, and I don't even care that the bottom half is covered and the top half is bare. The best part was when "Beanie" sat on the couch gazing at the tree and said "Our tree is just beautiful"!

Also, a little funny moment....

(Let me first give you a bit of background about 4 year old "Princess". She sometimes has a bit of a constipation problem, so when it's especially difficult for her to go, she asks her sister to come and count with her. This is their solution for keeping her mind off the task at hand. They're really cute, by the way!)

So anyway, we were putting the tree together and I was telling the girls which pieces of the tree to look for. After a minute "Princess" went in to go to the bathroom. When she came back she continued helping look for the right pieces of the tree. She said to me "Mom, I have great news!" I said "What, you found the right piece?" She said "No, no, forget about that! I went poop all by myself!"

LOL! It was hilarious, and we all had a good laugh!

So anyway, thank you Erica for the motivation to get the tree up. The kids are happier for it, and I feel relieved to know that there's one more thing done on my list!

(Oh, and I just want to say that I don't understand how people get such great looking pictures of their tree. I got the tripod out and everything, and it still looks crappy. Oh well, this is as good as it's gonna get I suppose.)

Until next time... Jami

So glad you got the tree up! And my favorite trees are ones that are kid-decorated! That's what ours looks like, too!

Your tree is SO cute! And what a great Mom to let your kids decorate it. I need to get better about that myself. Merry Christmas! Hope 2009 is great for you!

The pic of my tree that I like the best was when I turned off all the lights except the tree lights. I took it with no flash. I should have done it with a tripod but I didn't. It turned out ok though.
