It's been one of those days (kids not listening, house is a mess, feelings of being overwhelmed, $38 in the bank) you get the idea.
The doorbell rings and through the window I see the UPS guy driving away. I think to myself "I'm not expecting any packages". There is a small box on the porch, addressed to me. The return address is one that I don't recognize. A bit shocked, I tear the box open and stand there like a fool with my mouth hanging open. This is what was inside.....
No note, no invoice, no clue as to who sent this incredible gift to me. I have wanted this lens for so long, but don't really remember ever voicing that dream to anyone besides my husband. But with money tight, I haven't been able to get it. I've been shooting with my kit lens for about 10 months, and wanted a second lens so badly.
So I hurried and called DH at work to see if he bought it for me, even though in my heart I knew that he didn't. He would have if he could have, but he didn't. So I sat here bawling like a baby, knowing that somewhere, someone had taken the time and money to buy me an anonymous gift, and INCREDIBLE gift, a gift that means more to me than they may ever know. I am just so humbled, so stunned, so thankful.
So, just in case the person who sent this awesome gift to me is someone who reads my blog, I wanted to say thank you so very much. You have done an amazing thing, and I can't tell you thank you enough. Those 2 little words seem so insignificant to me...I wish I could truly express my gratitude.
The last thing my DH said to me when I was hanging up the phone was "Remember to say a little prayer of thanks" and that's exactly what I have done.

That is so cool.
Great advice from DH
It wasn't me by the way :)
That is the coolest darn thing in the world, but you know what? YOU DESERVE it. You are so good to go out of your way to make people (like me) feel special. I'm so glad that someone decided to make you feel special too! The pictures you took with it on your other blog are just drop dead gorgeous!! I have a Nikon. Do you know what the equivalent of that lens would be for Nikon? Is it a wide angle lens or a zoom lens? (Sorry to be so un-knowledgeable.) Looking at your pics, I'm thinking I'd love to get that lens too! YAY!! You SO deserve it. See - good things always come to good people. I'm so happy for you!
I agree-- you deserve it. I am glad we have angels living among us.
That is awesome. What an incredible and perfect gift.
How fantastic! You do deserve it.
Jami! How fun to recieve an anonymous gift! I truly can't think of anyone more worthy than you and I'm so happy that there still are wonderful people out there who take time to recognize other wonderful people! Congrats on your new lens. I'm sure it's going to bring you years of happiness!!
