A haircut for the Birthday Boy!!!!

"Munchkin" is 2 years old today!!!!! I seriously cannot believe that it has been 2 years already. He started his life in this world very unexpectedly and had lots of trials and blessings in his first few weeks. I posted a bit of his story on my blog in June of '07 so if you are interested, you can read about it there. There are also more sweet pictures of him in the NICU in his birthday slideshow from last year. He has become such a fun little boy (albeit a HUGE stinker sometimes!) and we love having him in our family.

Yesterday I took him in for his first real haircut. He's had a very tiny trim from my sister once before, but this was the first time we've taken off any real length. I figured it was about time, since almost everyone that meets him initially thinks he's a little girl! I loved his cute little curls, but I knew they had to go.

The experience started out okay at first, but then he quickly decided that he did NOT want to get his hair cut, and he was NOT going to cooperate.

So, we ended up only getting about 1/2 of the cut that I wanted. It's still cute, not as cute as I wanted it to be, but what are you going to do when he's screaming and trying to climb down from the chair?

So Happy Birthday, Munchkin!!!!! Mommy loves you so much!
