Big girl toys

This Saturday is when I am "side-shooting" a wedding....the same wedding where David is performing the ceremony! I'm really excited for this new challenge.

I decided to rent a couple of pieces of equipment so that I could get the very best pictures possible (or so I hope). So I got a week-long rental on an INCREDIBLE zoom lens (I literally almost drooled when I opened the package today!) and an external flash Speedlight. The lens will really come in handy during the ceremony so that I can get some great shots without getting in anyone's way. The flash is to use for fill flash outside in the sun (to try to reduce some of the shadows) and also during the reception which is being held in an LDS church gymnasium (ie. crappy lighting).

Anyway, I am so excited to use this new stuff. "Beanie" thought it was pretty funny that I referred to them as "my toys". Check out these bad boys! It's like carrying another child around! I LOVE IT!!!!!
