This is something that I need to remember. For the past few years I have really been slacking on the holiday fun around our house. After talking to my sister-in-law, I'm happy to know that I'm not the only one.
But I have decided to start making things more fun around here. It started in February for Valentine's Day. "Princess" and I made homemade valentines, I made heart-shaped pancakes, I hung up valentine cards and pictures on the closet door in our foyer....I think I did an okay job of making it a fun day.
Last night I realized that today is St. Patrick's Day. Man, how did it get to be March 17th already!!?? So I ran to the grocery store at 10:00 p.m. and picked up some goodies. The kids woke up this morning to find that Leprechauns had left them little trails of gold coins around the house and turned the toilet water and cereal milk green!! Tonight for dinner we will be having green fettucini alfredo, granny smith apples, salad and mint chocolate chip ice cream bars!!!

I think it will be a fun day for the kids, and now I've got to start planning Easter!!!
(Oh, one more funny thing...."Princess" thinks that it's called "Patrick's Day", and that it's named after Patrick on Spongebob!!!)
So what kind of traditions and fun things do you all do for St. Patty's Day and Easter?????

You're so awesome. I remembered to dress my kids in green. I thought that was pretty good.
I totally forgot ... no green, no gold ... NOTHING! I suck as a mother!
I usually make green food. Pancakes, milk butter. The works however this year I settled for the premade cookies in the store with the clover in them. For Easter we leave a trail of Jelly beans and call them "Bunny droppings" this is somehting Dallin grew up doing. The trail leads to the presents.
That is so stinking cute!! What a cute family you have.
I love those little girls!!! and It's been way to long since I've seen them!!! (also, I hope I win that picture... it's gorgeous!!)
These pictures are the best!!! Your kids are so cute.
